I've read quite a few SW books over the past six years or so and outside of the movie novelizations, none have left an impact on me. They've felt like a chore to get through. I think I'm going to pass on this.

We watched the last episode last night ! I won’t say anything more just in case ! I finished! I texted a mate & told him watching this show is like being kicked in the privates repeatedly for 8 hours and yet I still want more. So heartbreaking!

We're on the same page! I just watched E7 yesterday and the only reason I haven't watched 8 yet is because I know there won't be another new one for at least a year!
If I had to guess, I'd say that you're correct and we'll be strung along until next season for sure.
The show does such a wonderful job juggling all of the storylines and showing a lot of depth with so many characters.

I actually fly into Phoenix regularly to visit my parents, so this may be doable. I'll only be able to afford the Mythicon suite though Is that better or worse than the Mystique floor?

Haven't seen it. Now I'm curious. Give it a shot. Like Strudders said, it's not all gratuitous sex (in fact, it's tough to recall any nudity whatsoever) but there is extensive talk of sex & the characters don't seem shy. If that's okay (DON'T watch with young kids! ) the payoff is fantastic. Such a sweet, heartwarming (& heartbreaking at times) show that touches on a lot of issues that never get mentioned by mainstream entertainment. It's been nearly 30 years since I was in high school, so I imagine that the discussions are pretty spot-on for the present day. Here's a S1, spoiler-free review: Sex Education S1 Review

Ah, Stormsurge I’m afraid I haven’t as yet - hopefully tomorrow night ! I totally agree that the character development is great. After seeing the trailers and the first couple of episodes I thought it was probably going to be a novelty show with lots of cheap sex gags and flimsy characters. How wrong I was ! I’ll let you know what I think once I get stuck in. We have a fairly clear weekend so there may be a mini-binge on the cards ! I watched S2E3 today & was a blubbering mess at the end. Ugh!

A place for Strudders & I to discuss this fantastic show. Hopefully others will join us! ------ I'm only two episodes into Season 2, but I'm just as smitten as ever with this show. The character development is AMAZING, the writing is off-the-charts good & whoever is choosing the soundtrack is doing a bang-up job. Aside from everything I've mentioned, one of the more underrated aspects of this show is how it takes place in the modern day, yet has a strong 80's feel/vibe to it. Fantastic. Strudders, have you started S2 yet?

Can we all agree that this image captures the magic of the 2600 perfectly?
