Simulators are not everyone's cup of tea but they are an accomplishment on the 2600 from the technical perspective. Downloading now to have a listen. By the way, Ferg, I know you like Christmas so check this out: cantwaitforchristmaspod.com/

Agreed. It’s impressive to get any flight sim on the 2600 ! I used to like them back then. I used to play a lot on my Sinclair ZX81 and that was even more primitive than the 2600 graphics-wise.
I can’t believe someone ‘complained’ about your preamble ! I think that’s what makes the podcast more personal. And your humour is funny, and knowingly corny, which I appreciate !!

I usee to love the sims (flight style not Sid style). I first had one on the TI-99/4a. I recall it couldn't even draw the whole horizon. The horizon was represented by three evenly spaced blue/green boxes in a line.
Then on the Apple//c I had the subLOGIC sims. I loved how that one started you out at Miegs Field in Chicago, where you could see the Hancock tower. I later went to college in Champaign IL, and we had the guy that wrote it come to our student ACM chapter. Bruce something or other. I also love this one called Jet, on the Amiga. That one actually had a carrier you could see and maybe land on.
Ferg, you had asked about my little song. It was ukelele, piano, trumpet and vocals recorded using the MTR feature of the Zoom H4N. I highly recommend this unit. I have made a ton of bootleg recordings with it and only recently started using the MTR feature.

I have to say that I was surprised to hear that. I like it when a podcaster does a preamble to talk about whatever they want to talk about. As far as I'm concerned, Ferg should get back to doing it as he was before. It would be perfectly fine to hear Ferg talk about Extra Life in the next episode.

Thank you guys. I want to keep the podcast to games only, and hopefully talk about my other crap soon with some more bonus tracks.

(By no means do I not want regular episodes, but just trying to convey how much I love the bonus tracks)
