Just finished listening. Great episode and fun to learn more about Popeye.

Another great episode, the history of the cartoon and arcade was a nice touch. Reminded me of the propaganda cartoons made of Popeye during the war.

I couldn't stop laughing at Mrs. Ferguson's storyteller-toned reading of the Engrish on the back of the Japanese box. That's gold right there. It was an awesome idea to have her read that.

Kicking myself for not getting feedback in for this episode, even though I’ve played the Colecovision and NES versions of this game far more than the 2600 version. I didn’t have this one as a kid either, but I remember watching and loving Popeye cartoons in the 80’s. And who could forget Dave Coulier and all his Popeye impressions on Full House?
I also need to watch the Robin Williams movie. The 80’s All Over podcast did a really good review of it in their December 1980 episode, and hearing about it again in this podcast reinforced the need for me to track a copy down and watch it.
I’ll save the rest of my comments for a double audio submission for Congo Bongo; no way in hell am I missing feedback for a game I played the crap out of as a kid!

Nice episode as always Mr F ! I think someone at Taiwan Cooper was smokin' the 'mysterious cabbage' when they wrote that description I too missed feedback. Will try to double up for next episode. Been laid-up with the flu so playing a few games on the Flashback Portable.
