Everything about that picture is retro, and sadly vaguely familiar. Those colours and clothes, brings back memories. Not having kids, I couldn't imagine having to explain that's was an average tv, the wire thing was how we got tv channels and that was the peak of gaming at the time. I think I have seen iPads bigger than that screen lol

An excellent article on the history of game design. I really like seeing the hand drawn designs sheets. It really pulls back the curtain on how the original games were designed and how it was all worked out by hand. Thanks for posting Ferg. Loved the pictures from Magfest too. One day I would like to be able to travel to an event like that.

Trek,
Defender of the crown for the intellivision? That looks interesting. Probably the only system that could do it unless the keypad was programmed. Be interested to hear how it plays. I am huge fan of the game and love the new jaguar version.

I have never seen that one. I will readily admit I am not as familiar with the PAL releases as I like to be. It looks good and I will have to try it out. For some reason I have always enjoyed golf games on the different systems. Maybe it's because I am better at them then real golf.

Looks interesting. I think this really shows how far you can push the system. Has the potential to be a really fun party game.

Already backed it when I saw it on twitter. Looks good and I think I got one of the last top tier spots left with all the swag. Kind of hoping it makes the funding level, it would be nice to see one of those projects I backed make it on good Atari history.

Looks like another good one. Still hard to believe people are still doing amazing work on as old as me.

Don't feel bad iddod, I am in the same boat. Got so much stuff lately just haven't had time to post pictures. Once the season is over and life gets back to normal, I will try and catch up

Trek,
Those are some nice pickups. I also picked up the defender of th crown too. What number did you get? I ended up with #45. Can't wait to play it when I get time.. it was one of my favourites to play growing up. I also got a few of the Atari Age Christmas games to start a new tradition with my wife this year. Love the banner to by the way.

I always look at forums on my computer because I hate typing on the phone myself. I type fast with a physical keyboard, not so on the phone.
Episode already downloaded for listening! Thanks!
I agree, it is why I don't always comment consistently because I am not on my computer. Well that and jealousy of all the cool events everyone gets to got to like free play and prge

How about you overgrown teenagers leave those Orwellian tracking devices at home for just one day, and see if your lives don't improve? Constant instant gratification leads to neuro-atrophy. Deferred gratification (i.e. having to "work" for something, even if it only entails waiting until you get home to access the Internet (TM) on an actual computer) is good for ya. Remember looking through records, or going to the library to research something? If you begin to twitch involuntarily when separated from your phone for more than a few minutes, you'll know that you have a problem, and you can thank me later for helping you to notice it. (Well, you knew I was going to say something about all this phone talk, Ferg. Consider it tough love. Or, at the worst, annoyingly sanctimonious. I'll take that, if the words plant even the tiniest seed of dissent!) But how will I listen to the podcast and not have to talk to real people? I agree with you about the tracking device, that's why I still read real books and leave the devices off when I do it. I watch my young coworkers suffer when they can't have their devices, like a teething toddler. Glad I am ready for Armageddon and no devices.
