A lot of noise is being generated about Google possibly announcing a new gaming console at the upcoming GDC event (later this week). I'm not surprised but it will be interesting to see what they come up with. You can read about it here: All signs point to a Google game console announcement at GDC. There's even a logo for this now! Project Stream!

Yeah, I saw a video by Digital Foundry about it. Can't even begin to pretend to give a shit about the streaming stuff, but early looks at the actual hardware inside make it look promising as far as running games natively on the thing. I can't think of a reason why they'd have the hardware it has in it if it were JUST for streaming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG06H7IQ9Aw

I'll be waiting for reviews to see what they say once this is released. In any case, here is a 5 minute video covering the presentation and a picture of the controller...

It looks like it's just streaming the more I pay attention to it.
Nope.
"Games as a service"
The TECH is cool. The end user experience? ... I'm gonna give it a "Nope".

This is just a better version of what OnLive was doing for me.

I never used OnLive. The tech on this is interesting. I'm curious to see just how well the implementation works.
