I am happy to see that Fireball runs on 2600.emu but I don't know how the controller is going to work.
I love paddle games though!

Hmm, I know on the computer you can use a mouse. Not sure how it works with an Android emulator, though.

Is fixing screwy paddles really as simple as everyone says? Alcohol (91% was the best I could find), cotton swabs, and bada-bing?

I've always used WD-40 (or the superior, more long-lasting MotorKote) and Q-Tips. Either way, yes, it's pretty easy. Just make sure the whole metal ring gets coated. Probably the easiest controller "fix" I know of! This guy prefers alcohol, but his instructions are helpful anyway: vintagegamingandmore.com/atari-paddle-repair-cleaning/

I've heard WD 40 is bad for paddles in the long run. But that's all I've ever used. 😁
I have an emulator on my phone that loads Fireball, but I can't get it to work. I haven't tried it on the Flashback portable, but I imagine it won't work great if it works at all.

when the revolution comes, the makers of wd40 will be lined up against a wall and shot! it's terrible stuff... don't get me wrong, it's effective and it does the job but only over the short term, the stuff leaves a nasty residue that attracts and collects dust and grime and makes the problem worse over time... and don't ever use it on anything that needs oil or grease on it, cos it'll strip that off as well as any water... there's a massive choice of switch cleaning products around the world, i've no idea what your local ones might be called (i'm currently using "Super Servisol 10 - Switch Cleaning Lubricant" made by Ambersil here in the UK)... but they're all dirt cheap, and absolutely worth the investment for anyone who uses cartridge based consoles... *end of rant*

I certainly do not mean to be pushy, but this was my first audio submission where I included content from my son. He keeps asking if the episode has been posted yet. He's very excited about hearing the episode. Hello Ferg, do you have any ETA for us?

Doesn't seem to be out yet. It's cool that your son participated in an audio submission!

I'm going away for a few days on Saturday, so I want to try to have it out before then, but I can't promise anything. I'm very glad your son contributed, I can't wait to hear it!

Hey Ferg, it would be great if you could have it before you take off. I'm having Ferg-drawals! But, take care of yourself. That's most important! After all, we all want to be listening to your final episode in 2030!
