Great episode. Really shows that even after some 40 years of first bunch of Atari Christmas as kids, we can still be excited to get the new stuff which helps close the old childhood loop. I am looking at home brews or any of Tim Leptrino art books. I have always loved the art, helps spark the imagination for the games.

I never remember seeing any of those controllers. I find it interesting to compare those when you look at the specialty controllers on the modern consoles. I think it was more of a gimmick since there were so few games that used them unlike paddles.

Greeting all,
I have finally caught up on the podcast and figured it was time to join the forum. Gotta enjoy the surprises of each new episode. I have been into Atari since the mid 80's when we got a 4 switch Vader for christmas. I still have that system and all the games tucked away. I started collecting the other era systems in the late 90's when it was all I could afford. I stopped collecting for about 15 years, leaving what I had boxed up till a friend of mine asked me if I could fix a Nintendo NES for him. From there I started a retro game repair company as a prt time job to offset my collecting. Through 2 dudes and a nes, learned of the pod father and after a couple episodes, I was hooked. I expanded my business to include Atari as way to help my collection and a reason to play the different games I have heard on the podcast. Through the podcast I have learned so much and I am glad to find others with the same interests.
