Of all my original 2600 stuff I had as a kid, I really wish I had kept that Spitfire Attack controller. 😔 What was it like to play the game with the controller vs the joystick ? Did it add much or was it just a gimmick ?

I never remember seeing any of those controllers. I find it interesting to compare those when you look at the specialty controllers on the modern consoles. I think it was more of a gimmick since there were so few games that used them unlike paddles.

Wow - I definitely would not be able to resist and would want to open those. But then I'd feel guilty ruining what is probably the last sealed copied on Earth.

I would open them right up. I don't truck with sealed games, but some are, and that's fine.

Oh well, there was a flurry of activity on the Cosmic Commander and Flight Commander towards the end of the auction. The first went for $280, the latter $245 ! Will have to keep an eye out for a cheap secondhand one
