Most of you are on social media, so you already know this. I need to take a break from the show, I'm having a lot of motivational problems and I dont want to phone it in. A lot of the last show's research was done the night before I released the show, and that happened for Malagai too but worse. I rediscovered reading this year, and that's really all I want to do right now. That, like the podcast, is a hobby, and sometimes some hobbies win out over others. I don't want to stop the podcast, but I cant continue the way it's been going. That doesn't mean you won't hear from me, I started the Bonus Tracks for this very reason but have not done many of those. So, there's that. I hope you all are well, thank you for everything, I'm very glad you are all here.

Hey Ferg! You need to do what you need to do. Reading is a great hobby as well. I love reading myself, though most of what I read is sci fi (mostly Star Trek). So, have some fun reading! We'll be here whenever you're ready to come back to the podcast. I'm sure Space Shuttle will wait patiently as well.

Will the Malagai show still be uploaded, or will that be the first postponed episode? Just curious. (What are you currently reading? Just curious about that, too. I'm Mr. Curiosity tonight, evidently.)

It will be postponed. I want to record something about it this weekend though. Not the episode itself, because of my research problems. I am reading The Outsider by Stephen King.

Ooo, I liked The Outsider. Start a thread when you're done to discuss.
And more Bonus Tracks!!
Take all the time you need Ferg!!! You know we're not going anywhere.

Rest up Fergie ! I must admit that I got very excited when I saw you mention The Outsider - until I saw you meant the Stephen King novel Not that I'm against him per-se, just that I was hoping it was the Colin Wilson book, which is an amazing work. Maybe try that one next ?
Anyway, don't stay an 'outsider' from the podcast for too long !

We all need a respite sometimes. Reading is a great way to give yourself a break, and explore new ideas. I appreciate the commitment to quality. Always love the show, whenever the episodes get released.

Hey Fergolicious, I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. You take as much time as you need to until your ennui and existentialist angst dissipate into the ether. You do you, Panda Bear.
Some trivia about Malagai, did you know that Answer Software had originally planned an off-Broadway production based on Malagai, and even had Malagai tanktops and cocktail napkins produced? That's a true fact that I made up.

Some trivia about Malagai, did you know that Answer Software had originally planned an off-Broadway production based on Malagai, and even had Malagai tanktops and cocktail napkins produced? That's a true fact that I made up. Here is another true fact about Malagai. Avant gard minimalist composer Phillip Glass, fresh off his success with the score of Godfrey Reggio's film Qoyannisqatsi, had observed his son playing Malagai. He was so intrigued by the performance aspects of the game play that he composed a piece of music, "Requiem for four Atari 2600 (Malagai) and Kazoo". After its premiere at the 1984 Bronx Experimental Music Hoolie, critical response was swift and uniformly outraged. The piece was never performed again. Ed P.S. we miss you and hope you are well

Thank you everyone for your kind words and wishes. Sarah and I have had a bit of a life change recently (not a bad one, we are okay), but it has shaken up my routine and I'm not sure how to proceed with the podcast yet. But it's still very slow going, I just can't bring myself to sit down in front of a microphone to record anything, unless it's PSB. I have some editing I can do, but even that is difficult. I'm sorry this is taking so long, but I don't want to force it. Thank you for hanging in there.

Hey Ferg, a good life change is good to learn about. Hopefully, you can find the enthusiasm to get back with the podcast, but you need do it when you feel is right. Stay well!
