I don't think I've heard this mentioned on the podcast yet, so I thought I'd drop this information here. retroachievements.org is a website and collection of specialized emulators that lets you play classic games and earn achievements like you do in modern gaming platforms. While most of the focus is on Nintendo/Sega, there is a healthy dose of Atari stuff, too. There are achievements for 38 2600 games, 4 Lynx games, and 2 7800 games. If someone is technically inclined, you can learn how to make new achievements sets as well. For instance, here is the page for Adventure, so you can see the sorts of achievements you can earn: retroachievements.org/game/11778For games you play for high score, there are also leaderboards, for instance, 2600 Pac-Man: retroachievements.org/game/13094I've really been enjoying it, and just thought this community might be interested. If you have a Windows computer, the RALibreto emulator collection works pretty well. I think the embedded Stella version might be old, the audio is sometimes wonky, but the online features it adds makes up for it. Troff
