Hi everyone!
I'm Tim and GreatSaiyaman81 on Twitter. I've been listening to the podcast about 4 months now. New to the 2600 but been gaming since I was 6 starting with the NES. Over the years I've had most systems. I just love talking games.
Take care!

welcome aboard, how are you doing your VCS gaming? real hardware? emulation? mixture?

Thank you! A mixture of both. I started exploring the library via emulation. But have since bought 4 switch woodgrain 2600 and much prefer it. I collected a couple game lots and have some great core titles. But recently I bought a harmony cart and that opened it up. I enjoy trying out the games as I catch up on the podcast.

the podcast is a great way to play the games, i definitely appreciate each game more once i've got a bit of background info... and the harmony cart is essential kit too, although it does tend me make me buy genuine carts of games that i find i really like...

I feel the same! I've developed a small want list. There's a couple CiB's I'm looking for now. Fortunately some of my favorites aren't super expensive 😁

Welcome to the group. I know from experience it always starts with a couple of cibs but then you start trying to lay the game ferg is and it gets out of hand. Since I started listening to ferg my collection has increased by 1000% because he has done some true hidden gems that I wanted to try on real hardware.
PS Ferg I have a sealed copy of space shuttle waiting for you to cover it so I can play along.

Fortunately some of my favorites aren't super expensive 😁 others may disagree with me here, but i reckon that most of the best games are the cheaper ones, simply because their high quality meant they sold well, so there's no rarity to them... obviously there's exceptions, but you can build a great library without it costing a fortune...

I agree 100%! My favorites are a lot of the great arcade ports like Asteroids, missile command and centipede. Yar's Revenge is also a great game! I'm hoping to slowly send Ferg some feedback on some of these. Though I've heard all about the "Ferg Effect" lol!

I have enjoyed way more games then not so far. I'm waiting for the Space Shuttle episode to see if I want to try it. lol!
