In case this hasn't been seen my members here...
Here's the never before seen footage of Keystone Kapers 2, also known as Keystone Cannonball. Programmer Dan Kitchen recently unearthed the prototype and donated it to the National Videogame Museum. Note some of the amazing features of the time - 8 moving train wheels and multiple layers of parallax scrolling. Enjoy!

That is very impressive. It would be neat to see how far it would have gone if it was finished. Looks amazing for the system.

I should have added this quote from Dan...
"I’m rewriting the game from scratch so the new game will not be starring Keystone Kelly. It will be a physical cartridge release under the brand Tiki Vision Games. The original concept started as a generic train game. I’m a model railroader and wanted to make a side view game with different railroad cars. At the time my brother Garry had released Keystone Kapers and we thought using Keystone Kelly would be a cool addition to the game. The initial intent was to have Harry Hooligan transition from a petty department store thief to a full-fledged train bandit. However, before I had a chance to continue work on the game, the 2600 market experienced its downfall and I moved onto other games. The new version (has) two levels of gameplay, but the character will also be able to climb into some of the train cars like the box cars and Pullman Coach cars. The train will be a runaway circus train with various exotic animals to avoid. Each level ends when the player locates a varying number of engine parts that have been scattered in and around the train cars and makes their way to the locomotive to stop the train before time runs out."

That sounds like it would be fun and different. Have to look for it when it's done.

Wow. Looking forward to this !
One of my favourite ZX Spectrum games is Stop the Express ("Congraturation! You Sucsess!" ) and this seems very similar to that.

Just to add, from what I heard the game will be launched with a kickstarter campaign later this year.

True, he has said that is how he plans to do the release. I hope it gets the support it deserves because the game looks fun.

It has my support when it comes out. I like the kickstarter concept and have supported many projects over the years. The only thing I can see that would hurt him with it would be the tendency for games to take forever to come out after the kickstarter. None of the games I have backed have hit their marks for release and I am still waiting for them to come out. I just hope dan has the game basically done when he goes to kickstarter and makes sure that is stressed to hopefully make th campaign go smooth.

I think he did mention the game will be finished before starting the Kickstarter.

I really like the box design, it is a very nice tribute to the activision boxes of the day. I really like this style of graphics because of how fun it makes the game look. I find with some of the box art, it is either rigid but nice or just boring.

Yes, the box does look great. It uses the Activision style with the new brand that Dan has created, Tikivision
