I wanted to share this in case anyone is interested. Etsy seller ItsAllGeek3D has made available 3D printed couplers for the Atari 7800 controllers so you can play games like Robtron 2084 and T!ME Salvo. You can order them here: Atari 7800 Controller Coupling W/ Mounting Holes. These are available in multiple colors if you want anything other than black.

i have to admit they look nice, but cheap they're not! btw, robotron is the reason i bought an ntsc 7800 to go with my pal 7800's, yet i don't play the game as much as i thought i might (though i now use the ntsc console exclusively instead of my pal ones)

Well, it is a cheaper alternative than getting an Edladdin Dual Joystick.

aye, it is... though i'm fairly sure it would be cheaper to buy a pair of arcade sticks, twelve microswitches, four arcade buttons, four 520 ohm resistors, some cabling and a plank of wood instead... *note to self - add a pair of arcade sticks, twelve microswitches, four 520 ohm resistors and some cabling to shopping list (i already have a plank of wood and some spare arcade buttons)

This looks cool. I don't have any experience with 3D printed items, so I have a question about the description where the person says that you have to be extra careful inserting the joysticks. Does that mean it may be prone to breaking? I don't use the 7800 controllers for anything, so I guess I could put them in this and just leave them in there.

I got mine and it feels quite sturdy. I think they reason they say to be careful is because taking the joysticks out can be difficult. Here is a video they posted...
