This announcement was posted today on the PRGE web page. Sad news but a decision I can certainly understand. I do hope, however, that the virus has been controlled by the date the event was planned. PRGE 2020 is cancelledIt is with a heavy heart that we must announce that the 2020 Portland Retro Gaming Expo is cancelled due to the uncertainties associated with the Coronavirus pandemic. It was a very tough decision and was not made lightly. This is the first time in 15 years that we have ever even considered not having the event. Our concern is that we can't provide the same high-quality show while protecting our attendees and speakers. Specific challenges include:
- We are a 100% non-profit, volunteer-run organization and do not have the resources to accommodate pandemic-related changes to our existing show management process.
- Recruiting enough volunteers to staff the event is a challenge due to anxiety over the pandemic.
- Many of our arcade and pinball game partners are justifiably unable to volunteer games due to anxiety over the pandemic.
- There is public apprehension about being in crowded spaces and it's not clear that this concern will be reduced by August. Even a moderate reduction in attendance would put our event at financial risk for the future.

The update is a nice improvement over the former web page. Ordering is much easier now and it is better organized. The damn virus is affecting the economy everywhere, so I can understand the need to watch spending.

I got this update today from Carl at Songbird and I thought I'd share it here... ---------------------------------------------- After many years of wishful thinking, the Songbird website has finally completed a major overhaul. You can now browse items and add them to your shopping cart or wish list, create a user account, and use modern secure payment processing tools. I also have a blog which I will update periodically. Some particular items of interest: 1. Inventory is now managed online, meaning items will go out of stock automatically when the last one is ordered. It isn't complete yet but it's better than the old manual system. I have set up all item quantities to be conservative to ensure I have them in stock at the moment. 2. International customers can now select a couple of shipping options, depending on the weight of the order. International shipping ranges from $20-40, where $40 is insured and guaranteed but the cheaper options are not. USA customers remain at a flat $8 shipping for any order. 3. Songbird Lynx games which support comlynx are now available in a discounted "duo" option, where you get two curved lip carts, one box, and one manual. This allows you to pick up a second copy for comlynx at a much better price. To celebrate, I've added some new items to the store including: - Limited quantities of imported Telegames Jaguar and Lynx releases
- Limited quantities of SIMIS, T-tris, and Othello for the Lynx
Take the new site for a spin, and let me know if you run into any glitches! Carl Forhan Songbird Productions

Yes, the box does look great. It uses the Activision style with the new brand that Dan has created, Tikivision

Yes, Tommy and his team are doing an excellent job showcasing what the system can do and they are light-years ahead of Atari with their VCS. It's unfortunate that Atari doesn't have their act together. The Intellivision folks sure do.

I'm going to guess they are using this as a way to gauge interest beyond the Ingiegogo campaign. I wonder how many people have preordered or joined the wait list.

I finally assembled these boxes. I have all the games but they did not have standard boxes. They came in CD cases or flimsy plastic cases.

This is a compilation by Retro Comparisons of every Atari game to be released on more than one of their cartridge-based consoles. If it was released on a combination of the 2600, 5200 or 7800, it's on here. Really cool video! Enjoy!
