Here's some pics guys! Gus - He looks a little grumpy in that pic but he's actually very friendly... Looks like he's sitting at the bar in that picture!

Hi Gang, First off I would like to say a big thanks to Ferg and Mrs. Ferguson the librarian for all the time and effort they put in on this podcast! It is truly appreciated! Whenever a new episode of the 2600 GBG podcast shows up it always gets bumped to the top of my playlist. I've been a listener since the first or second episode and I believe I found out about the podcast by listening to Flack's great YDKF podcast.
My quick Atari story as I remember it... I'm not sure what year we (I have two older brothers) received our 2600 for Christmas but it had to be pretty early as it was a heavy sixer. Not knowing much about it at the time I don't think I knew what I was in for. We played countless games of Combat, Air-Sea Battle & the Sears version of Space War, Space Combat. Over the years I would acquired many games for it, the "crash years" were good to me! Fast forward to today and all of those games and the system are gone. However one thing remains... Every year on Christmas day my Dad would save one special gift for myself, my two brothers and my Mom that he would give to us on Christmas night after all of the days festivities had died down. Well I still have one of those gifts to this very day, An Arcadia (Not Starpath) Supercharger with Phasor Patrol and Commie Mutants from Space. Don't ask me how I've held on to that all these years when all of the other stuff is long gone because I simply don't know. A few years ago I picked up another 2600 and I still use that Supercharger that I received on Christmas night so many years ago to this very day! What makes this extra special to me is that I no longer have my parents and as silly as this sounds that Supercharger always reminds me of them. I'm not a huge collector of carts but I do pick up games from time to time and many of those have come and gone but I can say that I will never ..ever sell that Supercharger.
Other boring facts about myself... I'm married to an amazing women who I adore and we have two awesome kids together. We also have a crazy 4 year old cat named Gus who we rescued and black lab named Maddie. Maddie will be 12 in December and she is hands down the best dog I've ever had! I love music and played Bass in a 3 to 4 gig a week cover band since the end of high school up until about 10 years ago (I'm 45). The band days are long gone but I do play in my church band (Yeah I know I didn't see that coming either)! My main Bass is an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 5 and a 1969 Ampeg Dan Armstong Bass (clear Lucite plastic) It looks awesome but the sound leaves something to be desired. I have a small game room in my basement with a few arcade games, a recently added pinball and of course my Atari 2600. My wife claims she has no idea what's going on down there!
That's all for now, I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm really looking forward to the forums and excited to chat with everyone! Thanks again Ferg for all you do. Your podcast is like an old friend to me, RUP
